This exquisite Sikh Essentials’ Kirpan is a wonderful addition to any collection and is widely used for ceremonial purposes. One of the most distinguishing features of this dagger is its superb hilt, which exhibits excellent metal workmanship. It is also part of a religious commandment given by Guru Gobind Singh in 1699, in which he gave the Sikhs the option of wearing the five articles of religion (the five Ks) at all times if they accepted, with the kirpan being one of the five Ks.
